Walk So Kids Can Talk

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Kids Help Phone, who so wonderfully help kids with any and all issues that matter to them! A soft spot of mine has always been kids, or anyone really, going through hard times, feeling helpless and alone and not knowing how to handle it. From bullying to family issues, death of a loved one to sexual or physical abuse, a diagnosis of illness… we go through many hard times in our lives unfortunately and how lovely it is to know there are organizations like Kids Help Phone that will open a loving ear and support. Many people bottle it up inside, which many psychiatrists would tell us not to do. Kids Help Phone encourages our youth to vent for free in a non judgemental, confidential, anonymous environment and rely solely on donations and funds raised from The Walk to help them continue to be there for the youth whenever they need it the most. On May 5th i’ll be walking in support of Kids Help Phone for the annual Walk So Kids Can talk presented by Bank of Montreal. The Walk provides hope and courage to young people everywhere, sending them the message that it’s okay to reach out for help and that we walk together to make the world a more supportive place. Held on the first Sunday in May since 2002, this walk is Canada’s largest for child and youth emotional health/well-being and celebrates Mental Health Week in Canada each year. The Walk allows Kids Help Phone to keep its services available to kids across Canada 24/7. It is Canada’s only 24/7 national service, offering bilingual (English and French) professional counselling, information, referrals and volunteer-led support to young people. Sadly, as time goes on, children deal with more and more difficult situations than their older generations have and that is why Kids Help Phone is there to lend a helping hand!     Hello! It can be complicated if you’re not very familiar with computer technology or web development background but my suggestion is that you check out WordPress and Bluehost. From there they lay out templates that make it more simple to follow!! You’ll do great!! Good luck 🙂

    Thank you very much!! I designed it myself using wordpress themes. There’s a yearly fee but it’s not expensive and from there there are many free themes to choose from and make your own!! Good luck 🙂 xoxo

    Thank you so much!! Honestly, i feel the same way too most the time. Hence why my articles are few and far in between. I write when i get the urge to and try not to force it. It’s when i sit myself down and force myself to write that i get writers block. A tip that i do is carry around a notepad and pen and whenever i get inspired i write down a subject, quotes or anything that pops into my head and go back to my notepad when i want to write to get some inspiration from my past notes. Hope that helped xo
