Happy New Year everyone!! Hope it was everything you expected and more!
New years for me has always been about a fresh start, the resolution of putting things of old in the past! Usually my goal, but this whole “New year, new me” thing has made me ponder… you don’t need to be a NEW you, we are who we are and never change that! My new goal for 2017 isn’t to be an up to date me, but a better version of me! I like who I am, I don’t want to change that but a little fine tuning wouldn’t hurt!! Applying expectations to a new year can only result in disappointment, high hopes mean too much pressure. Being an adult, we already have too much on our plates to begin with!! So this year I expect normal… if amazing things happen, great. It’ll be a pleasant surprise! And pls, bring on the amazing!! If not that then at least my expectations will be met. That’s my new years resolution! Expect the unexpected, no more pressure!! 2016 was a tough one for most, we all seemed to want it to end and begin a fresh start, that’s the beauty of New Years. So on this first day of 2017, I apply no pressure on what’s to come these next 365 days! I invite the unexpected! I will erase all the bad from my memory and replace it with all the good! I will learn the lessons, make the changes and carry on! I will appreciate all the blessings I’ve been given and work to make them stick. Most people think resolutions are pointless, we all seem to break them, but at the end of the day it’s a goal! Something we want to see happen for the year to follow, which is a great thing. No matter if we fail at it! As for me, i’m keeping my tradition of new years resolutions and have high hopes i’ll prosper 🙂 Let’s make 2017 about being the best version of ourselves in all ways! Relationships, jobs, family, friends, goals.. when we’re happy everything else will fall into place!!
